Terms and Conditions for The Harvest House New Forest Bed and Breakfast in Milford on Sea Lymington.

Thank you for booking with Harvest House New Forest Bed and Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read the terms and conditions of booking below.

Price

The price includes your accommodation, secure off road parking for your car, and the breakfast of your choice taken from our breakfast menu (subject to availability).

To secure your reservation we charge a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the value of your booking. This can be charged to your credit or debit card (not American Express). We will send you an e-mail or letter to confirm the booking and to let you know what the outstanding balance is. This balance is due on departure. We prefer to be paid by credit or debit card (not American Express) but we can accept cash, either sterling or euros.

Cancellation & Insurance

If you make a cancellation within 4 weeks of your arrival you may lose your deposit. If you do not arrive, you will be charged for the first night’s booking . We reserve the right to charge in full for subsequent nights if we are unable to resell them. Similar conditions prevail should you need to cut short your stay. If we are able to fill the accommodation there may be a small fee charged to cover administration costs and any other monies will be refunded.

If you have annual insurance cover you may be able to claim any loss against this. You may wish to take out a short term policy which you can do with various companies. The on-line site www.click4quote.com offers short term travel insurance within the UK for around £5.00 per person. Please be advised that we have no tie in with this website, merely it was one we found on line prepared to offer pertinent insurance.

Arrival & Departure

We will agree an arrival time with you when you make your booking and generally anytime from 11.00 a.m. ’til 9.00 p.m. is perfectly acceptable. In operating this flexible approach we would appreciate the courtesy of being advised of any change in your anticipated arrival time.

We are only very small and to wait for a guest who has changed their arrival time for whatever reason, without informing us is not acceptable. We do not guarantee that rooms will be ready before 2.00p.m. but will do our best for those guests arriving early.

We ask that rooms be vacated by 10.45 a.m. If you are hoping to enjoy the day out and about and wish to leave your car with us please ask. We have ample parking and it should not be a problem.

Smoking & Other Matters

Please don’t embarrass us by having to ask you not to smoke. We are a strictly non-smoking household, and quite apart from upsetting others who do not smoke, the fire alarm system is quite sensitive.

On other matters we just ask that you respect our home and any other guests who may be staying.

Damage

We know that damage is never intentional, but sometimes accidents do happen and in the event that we have, for example, to have the carpet cleaned, or bedding specially cleaned or renewed, or accidental breakages necessitate replacements, we reserve the right to charge accordingly.

Pets

We do not accept pets

Children

Our grounds are not suitable for very young children. We do however welcome well behaved children over the age of twelve.

Non-availability

If your accommodation becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control we would attempt to offer you an alternative or refund all monies paid by you to us. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Liability

We do not accept liability for any injury to any guest, nor for any loss or damage to guests possessions (including any vehicles) unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or by any contractor whilst acting in the course of employment with us
